Self Portraiture at Bare Hill Correctional Facility
Facilitated by Geoff Cobb

In this workshop, students explore the significance of self-portraits by examining works from both contemporary and historical artists. Through this process, they gain a deeper understanding of how self-portraits communicate identity, style, and emotional depth. By engaging with a variety of self-portraits, students interpret the visual language used by artists to convey personal narratives and reflect on their own individuality. These discussions encourage students to think critically about how identity and emotion are expressed through different artistic styles and techniques.
