Zach Reid (00:23): Thanks. So I'm gonna ask you a couple questions just about the program, and you let me know how you feel. Um, for one, how does being in this class make you feel?

Valentin Sorto (00:37): Uh, excellent question. Uh, it made me feel comfortable like in family, because I like to participate in problems that improve me.

Zach Reid (00:55): Mm-hmm.

Valentin Sorto (00:56): And my excuse. So this made me feel great, happy, and at, at the same time, uh, how I can say, uh, appreciate we, the surround I have friends and so that's great for me.

Zach Reid (01:16): Nice. Cool, cool. Um, and what made you want to sign up for this program? And did you get I out what you wanted in this program?

Valentin Sorto (01:35): Uh, another excellent question. I remember I saw you one time when they was doing, uh, this, this program. And I asked you if you can enjoy and you say, "Yo, you can go in. Exactly." You know?

Zach Reid (01:50): Mm-hmm.

Valentin Sorto (01:50): So I say, "Okay." So I contact friends that who were participating already here and they tell me, yeah, I can do it. And I say, "Okay, I'm glad. I wanna enjoy." And, and the reason why I doing it, uh, is because like I say, I like the improvement.

Zach Reid (02:06): Yeah.

Valentin Sorto (02:06): And, and the other question was, if I would like to bring this outside-

Zach Reid (02:08): Yes.

Valentin Sorto (02:08): That's what you're saying?

Zach Reid (02:18): No, the question was, uh, would you, what would you... Oh no. Did you get out what you wanted in this program?

Valentin Sorto (02:23): Okay. Yes. Uh, I would like to obtain the skills, knowledge-

Zach Reid (02:32): Mmm.

Valentin Sorto (02:32): ... how to use a camera to record. Maybe wi- I started with my family members and, and we can start doing a little stuff so I can see recording a little videos.

Zach Reid (02:43): Mm-hmm.

Valentin Sorto (02:43): And then I can, maybe I can do a little bigger, you know.

Zach Reid (02:47): Mm-hmm. Yeah. That's very nice. Very nice. Um, so I guess, yeah, I guess that reiterates to the question down here is, would you like to continue this when you're going home?

Valentin Sorto (02:59): Yes. Uh, I would like to continue this because, uh, it is something like, I feel like it's my passion now to continue doing, especially wh- what I had experience learning.

Zach Reid (03:13): Mm-hmm.

Valentin Sorto (03:15): Maybe I don't... had the excuse maybe, but I can find somebody that doesn't have that skill and, and I can, I can plug them together and, and, and unify these skills and make something real, you know?

Zach Reid (03:30): Yeah.

Valentin Sorto (03:30): Yes.

Zach Reid (03:31): Definitely.

Valentin Sorto (03:31): Definitely, I want to bring this to history.

Zach Reid (03:34): Very nice. Very nice. I like that answer. Um, uh, Sorto, were you a part of the music team or the video team?

Valentin Sorto (03:39): Uh, I am part of the video team.

Zach Reid (03:43): Video team?

Valentin Sorto (03:44): Yes.

Zach Reid (03:44): Cool, cool. Awesome. And, um, what's, what's maybe one thing that you enjoyed learning, um, camera- wise for the video team?

Valentin Sorto (03:53): Oh, that's, I believe, uh, almost everything, because how to set a light-

Zach Reid (04:00): Mm-hmm.

Valentin Sorto (04:01): ... color and, and how to shoot with the, with the camera and make the other person who acting to make it better. So I like it, that one. And, and that is the most important for me to enjoy and doing the, my success... Uh, I s- I, I can say it like this-

Zach Reid (04:27): Yeah.

Valentin Sorto (04:30): ... my success is your success too. So my improvement, it can be yours also, because whatever you doing it and I can make you that to appear in, in, in a big screen-

Zach Reid (04:44): Yeah.

Valentin Sorto (04:45): ... that's amazing for me.

Zach Reid (04:46): Yeah. Like if you're having fun with it and I'm having fun with it, it's gonna be a good production.

Valentin Sorto (04:50): Yes.

Zach Reid (04:50): Definitely.

Valentin Sorto (04:51): Correct.

Zach Reid (04:52): Mm-hmm. And, um, let's see. What would you like someone to know outside of this, uh, program? What would you like to know? What would you like someone to know on the outside? Let me re- re- let me re-ask that.

Valentin Sorto (05:08): Okay.

Zach Reid (05:08): What would you like someone on the outside to know about participating in this class?

Valentin Sorto (05:14): I believe, uh, especially my family members, my son, my grandchildren. And I would like, they know that I am participating in positive activities and s- so they can feel that everything that I spoke them in, in the phone-

Zach Reid (05:34): Mm-hmm.

Valentin Sorto (05:34): ... is the truth, you-

Zach Reid (05:34): Mm-hmm.

Valentin Sorto (05:34): ... know? 'cause sometimes, people can say, "I love you, uh, uh, my son," or, "granddaughter"

Zach Reid (05:46): Mm-hmm.

Valentin Sorto (05:48): ... or whoever family member is is you talking about, but the actions is not doing this, whatever - they say. So it is kind of contradict itself. But in my case, I try to do what I say to my family members so.

Zach Reid (06:05): Right.

Valentin Sorto (06:08): I would like to know they, that I am doing the right thing.

Zach Reid (06:10): A hundred percent.

Valentin Sorto (06:10): Yeah.

Zach Reid (06:12): A hundred percent. I respect that. And then I, I did have, um, one more question. How do you think this class helped you, uh, therapeutically?

Valentin Sorto (06:22): Mm. Amazing, uh, question. Uh, I feel like when I come, when I'm prepare myself to come here-

Zach Reid (06:34): Yeah.

Valentin Sorto (06:34): ... is like, uh, going to somewhere that I going to expand my mind and open my mind and, and learn something new-

Zach Reid (06:47): Mm-hmm.

Valentin Sorto (06:47): ... because that's my purpose on life.

Zach Reid (06:47): Mm-hmm.

Valentin Sorto (06:49): Is waking up in the morning, open my eyes and say a new day so that's another opportunity to learn something.

Zach Reid (06:59): Right.

Valentin Sorto (06:59): And, and that's the mentality that I bring in here. And I come in with an open mind and ready to learn whatever, uh, and, and participate and, and maintain that same spirit-

Zach Reid (07:15): Mm-hmm.

Valentin Sorto (07:15): ... and discipline to help whatever I am, you know?

Zach Reid (07:19): Yeah.

Valentin Sorto (07:19): I can help in anything and, and I can become part of the solution and not the problem, you know?

Zach Reid (07:27): Very nice, Sorto.

Valentin Sorto (07:27): Yeah.

Zach Reid (07:28): I appreciate that. And I did have one more question I just thought of. Um, hmm, would you say that this program, uh, impacted you in a positive way?

Valentin Sorto (07:40): Yes, it's, it's impacted me in every positive way because it keep my mind positive and creat- creating new ideas. While, while we doing this, I can say, "Hmm, I can do this with my family members. I can try with them. I can interview, I can record a video with my nieces, my grandnieces and, and, and to make them see that everything can be possible," you know?

Zach Reid (08:21): Definitely.

Valentin Sorto (08:21): So yes, it's.

Zach Reid (08:24): Right. I appreciate that, Sorto, and then is there anything that you would like to share with us, uh, before we go?

Valentin Sorto (08:30): Yeah. Uh, I would like to say that, uh, everything can be possible. Only if you got it, is up to you to do things possible, because nothing is going to stop to doing the right thing. And if you had the capacity and the talent to inspire other people to do the best they can, i- it's great. You know, so that it would've be excellent. So, those, those people who are inspiring other people to become better people, I have respect a lot for them. So I s- that's my purpose and I try to do the best-

Zach Reid (09:18): Awesome. Thank you, Sorto.

Valentin Sorto (09:20): ... to inspire them and, and ma- maintain that mentality too. Yes.

Zach Reid (09:25): Yes. Thank you, man. That was good. I, I feel that I respect it. I hear you and um, I'm glad that this class helped you.

Valentin Sorto (09:32): Yes, thank you. Thank you for the opportunity. And I would like to say this, you never going be disgraced by me, because I going to put this skills in action and anytime I can, you know.

Zach Reid (09:54): Yeah.

Valentin Sorto (09:54): So I'm glad to participate and maintain my participation with you.

Zach Reid (10:00): Mm-hmm.

Valentin Sorto (10:01): Especially both you, because you bring us here, the, the skills that we are looking for.

Zach Reid (10:09): Right.

Valentin Sorto (10:10): Without you, I don't know, nothing could be done.

Zach Reid (10:15): I appreciate that.

Valentin Sorto (10:15): Yeah.

Zach Reid (10:16): It starts from you as well and I, I appreciate the great energy that you bring in every class and, um, I appreciate everything that you learned and that you can express that with us and that you continue to bring that and spread that knowledge. So-

Valentin Sorto (10:29): Yeah.

Zach Reid (10:29): ... thank you, Sorto. And um, it's very nice working with you over these weeks.

Valentin Sorto (10:32): Thank you very much. And you always welcome to, you know-

Zach Reid (10:37): All right.
